"Phral mende - About us" is a documentary showing the perspectives of Sinti * and Roma * in Germany. This film is not a film about Sinti * and Roma *, but comes from the community itself and highlights a range of topics such as the civil rights movement, commemortive culture and everyday racism. The director, Tayo Awosusi-Onutor, who is a Sintizza herself, uses this film to show the diversity of Sinti * and Roma *, while at the same time making a stand against racism against Sinti * and Roma * and racism-critical language.

"Phral mende - About us" is not a film about Sinti * and Roma *, but a polyphonic self-portrait: In biographical interviews, personalities such as Anita Awosusi, Fatima Hartmann or Ilona Lagrene speak with director Tayo Awosusi-Onutor about civil rights engagement, remembrance culture and everyday racism. Their perspectives and individual experiences give rise to a vivid picture of Sinti * and Roma * in Germany, which defies stereotypical perspectives. "
Phral mende - About us "was premiered for the first time at the Jewish Museum Berlin / W.Michael Blumenthal Academy in March 2018. Since then, there have been numerous film screenings in various locations as:- Heinrich Böll Foundation Berlin
